Introduction

Intellpower TX5100 series economizer is specially designed for all types of small single phase air-conditioner. It features the ever popular Intellpower V.3 algorithms and POWER FREEZE micro-controller, giving you 24H365D COP monitoring and control for your air-conditioning unit. Intellpower V.3 algorithms will make automatic adjustment to the compression cycles to achieve the best possible EER for your air-conditioning unit while providing a consistent level of comfortable air. It takes only 15 minutes to install (by trained technician). It is maintenance free and comes with 24 months manufacturer’s warranty.

How Does It Work?

Air-conditioning (HVAC) equipments often is the largest single component of the electrical bill for most typical household and commercial offices.

 

This is most apparent in area with hot and humid climax. HVAC equipments often operate well below its maximum EER (Energy Efficiency Rating) due to poor system set-up (including equipment sizing), inadequate maintenance program and intrinsic weakness inherents with the equipment itself.

 

The amount of energy wasted is dependent on the load current (working & magnetizing) at a particular time. Efficiency of a compressor motor is load dependent and the losses is most acute when operates at part load. It is common to find a poorly maintained and operated AC unit running at 20% - 40% of energy wastage.

 

When an air-conditioning system is not operating relative to the cooling load demand and is less efficient, Intellpower V.3 algorithms will step in and determine the “cooling demand” and the “thermal characteristics” of any given time by analyzing the refrigerant cycle pattern, vaporization and condensation dynamics of the vapor compression system in conjunction with the operation and setting of the equipment’s original thermostat. Real-time logging and analyzing of the compressor’s “cycle pattern” enables the the built-in Intellpower V.3 algorithms to re-compute a new energy efficiency curve and intervene the vapor compression cycle with TX5100 Power Freeze Direct2Load power electronic circuit.

 

However, Intellpower V.3 algorithms is not a “drift/drive” analyzer. It is also not an accupancy-based controller. It does not perform or control the thermal characteristic of the cooling area according to occupancy pattern. (Please enquire for TX5300 series about such functon)
